After Hours

When you need a doctor and our surgery is closed please call 02 9625 3411 and speak to the after hours doctor available (for current registered patients of the practice). In an emergency please call 000.

Appointments

No appointment is necessary; however, if you seek an appointment please call 9625 3411 so our staff can assist you. Please advise reception in case a long consultation is needed.

 

Home Visits

Home visits can be arranged with your regular GP in exceptional circumstances if discussed and agreed upon with your doctor.

Management of Personal Health Information Systems   

Patient’s personal health information is confidential and is kept in accordance with the RACGP Standards for the Management of Personal Health Information. Consistent with our commitment to quality care this practice has developed a policy to protect patient privacy in compliance with the privacy legislation.

 

Electronic Communication

Patients may contact our practice via email, however, we are unable to accommodate appointments booked via email. We are happy to forward your information to you eg, medical certificates, via email, however, in the interests of your privacy we require you to first email the practice with your name, dob, and address.

Reminder and Reminder System

Our practice has a recall/reminder system in place for prompt follow up of your results and referrals. If you do not wish to receive a reminder notice please let reception staff know.

 

You’re Rights

If you have a problem we would like to hear about it. Please feel free to talk to your doctor and the manager.

You might prefer to write to us or send us an email rootyhillmedical@gmail.com. We take your concerns, suggestions and complaints seriously.

However, if you wish to take the matter further, and feel that you want to discuss the matter outside the surgery, you may contact the Medical Registration Board medicalboard.gov.au or Healthcare Complaints Commission hccc@hccc.nsw.gov.au.

Patient feedback is always welcome, please speak to a member of our clinical team or the administration staff if you have any suggestions.

Telephone Policy

Doctor’s may be contacted during their working hours. If the doctor’s are in a consultation, a message will be taken and the call will be returned when the doctor is free.

Fees & Billing

Our practice is a bulk billing practice for patients with eligible Medicare and DVA cards.

Private patient - $80 (cash only)
